Buyers of Region 1 anime can look forward to a couple of new releases from Funimation. Release dates for several new Blu-ray Discs are listed in a Anime Source promotional pamphlet in the upcoming Evangelion 1.11 Blu-ray.

Good news for K-On! fans in South East Asia! K-On! Season 1 will be premiering on March 16th on Animax-Asia with the English dubs @ 8PM and the original Japanese dubs @ 12MN the same day.

Thoughts: Not totally unexpected...or rather it was pretty much a given, considering the AFA09 Animax dubbing booth allowed people to do K-On! live dubs and our friendly AFA09 organisers got the K-On! seiyūs to come down as well. I will probably use this opportunity to check out the quality of the English dubs.

I mentioned about awhile back that I wasn't a big fan of sports anime and I still aren't. However, Cross Game is another one of those exceptions that I will have to add to that still rather short list of sports anime or manga which I have enjoyed.

Thoughts: Certainly one of the better AMVs I've seen...with Simon as Shepherd, Lordgenome playing the Illusive Man and Yoko as Miranda Lawson. Still waiting for the Gurren Lagann Anime Legends box set and Mass Effect 2's price to drop...

The Beck live-action movie will open on 4th September in Japan. Still no news if Encore Films will bring it to Singapore...
